I’m hoping you’ll join me this year in supporting the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice’s fundraising campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

As someone who is a relatively recent addition to LACLJ’s board, I would love your support toward LACLJ’s annual fundraising campaign. Funds raised as part of this month’s campaign will help to ensure that survivors have access to life-changing legal representation that empowers them to be free from their abusers, protect their children from violence, and be hopeful about the future.

If you’re in a position to contribute, please do so. And if you’re not, I’d encourage you to skim the LACLJ website to see the great things that it's up to. I am aiming for $1,500 dollars—every dollar counts.

Every year, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, LACLJ Board Members, Staff, Volunteers and Support fundraise to secure justice for low-income survivors.

Your support during Domestic Violence Awareness Month will ensure low-income survivors have access to free legal representation.

You can make the difference for survivors so they may become free from violence, protect their families, and create more hopeful futures. 

$50 can provide an hour of translation services 
$150 can provide an advocate to support a survivor at family mediation 
$250 can provide a social worker to connect survivors to housing, food or mental health services
$500 can provide a legal advocate to protect a victim's rights in court 
$1,000 can provide attorney representation to a survivor at their restraining order hearing
$2,000 can provide free legal help for an immigrant survivor applying for a U-visa
