October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As many of you know, I serve on the Board of Directors at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice ("LACLJ"), a nonprofit legal organization whose mission is to secure justice for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. LACLJ offers free legal representation to low-income survivors, so they can protect themselves and their children from violence.
The 2020 pandemic has exacerbated the domestic violence crisis in this country. Now more than ever, survivors of domestic violence need quality legal support, and LACLJ is in the trenches with them!
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to this important cause today. Every donation will count towards ensuring low-income survivors in our community have access to the services they need to survive.

You can make the difference for survivors so they may become free from violence, protect their families, and create more hopeful futures.
$50 can provide an hour of translation services
$150 can provide an advocate to support a survivor at family mediation
$250 can provide a social worker to connect survivors to housing, food or mental health services
$500 can provide a legal advocate to protect a victim's rights in court
$1,000 can provide attorney representation to a survivor at their restraining order hearing
$2,000 can provide free legal help for an immigrant survivor applying for a U-visa
